Last time I saw 'em live they opened with 'Evil Eye' !

It feels like the reviewer was on cocaine instead of weed.

Last time I saw them they had to run off the stage because of a sand storm and the stage falling down. The real deal.

Great stuff from start to finish. I think this is FM's best yet. Big ups to Alex L for showing up.
Being from the same town, my buddy and I jammed with Scott R once during our quest for a drummer. We were pretty good, but Scott was much better. As much as I wanted him to join our band, I also did not want him to join our band as I felt it would have been quite lopsided. He was so freakin' good. Probably a mistake on my part in hindsight.

So Fu Manchu just played a kickass concert in my town today. The whole set was fire but the best part: They played Il Mostro Atomico. At it's full length. Just awesome.

Still putting out consistent, enjoyable albums. Their last 3 albums have been solid 4.0's and while not as swaggering as their early classics, they are miles better than the punkish Start the Machine and We Must Obey.

I honestly didn'y know which thread to bump but yeah, new project from Bob Balch of Fu Manchu with Peder Bergstrand of Lowrider, Scott Reeder from Kyuss, Esben Willems from Monolord, Amy Barrysmith from Year of the Cobra and Laura Pleasants from Kylesa...
Doing...
...
Sludge covers of Slayer.

Lol yeah, SLOWER. It's hilarious and pretty great. Also, I caught Fu live a couple of weeks ago and was literally close enough to smell Scott Hill's shampoo while he headbanged...and it smelled pretty great lol.

Might be because I jammed it at work, after lunch, but I was falling asleep. Some of the songs if you didn't tell me they were Slayer songs I wouldn't have guessed. I wish they would have spread it a bit more and cover other thrash bands too.

Strong late effort for the Mighty Fu! Side 1 the typical riff-fest of fuzzed out mania, Side 2 just one track, bit of an epic with some Alex Lifeson from Rush guitar work. I'm kinda amazed a band doing their thing this long can still turn out quality like this.
