What I find most astounding about this isn't the political freakout but that Flynn somehow thought that making a nu-metal album was a viable idea in 2018. Slipknot still get away with it somehow but they're an awful lot more popular than Machine Head are.
He's definitely lost his mind, to whatever extent he had it in the first place.

well, nu-metal has made a bit of a comeback recently with nu-metalcore, so it wasn't an entirely bad instinct... The only problem was the album was bad.
