This is great, but as with all Flaming Lips I hear, I always end up zoning out, I dunno why. But this is probably their best from what I've heard.

I haven't listened to this in ages, I think I should get it out.

actually one of my least favorite albums by them. dunno why, probably it's almost too polished and easy-going, I prefer both their previous, rougher works and the later, crazier ones. it's still a good album though.

Clouds Taste Metallic and In A Priest Driven Ambulance are better

No!!! I like them but they're so sloppy and unpolished. But I guess if that's what you like then you'd like those better. Soft Bulletin is just so detailed and meticulously crafted. And Steven Drozd didn't put his geniusness into their sound until then either.

I love the Soft Bulletin and i love the older albums. But i heard the older ones first, so i'm biased towards them. I'd consider the older ones to be the classic Flaming Lips. They lost some of their originality at this point.

finally received this album, but its so different than what i expected. i thought it was going to be...more upbeat i guess. its a lot more mellow than i thought.
i mean, its an amazing, beautifully written album for what it is, but this is just way too dreamy at times.
do they have anything that is more...energetic? im guessing their older stuff?

Been looking into these guys a lot recently, not a fan of their recent though. This and Yoshimi are great though
