Gen V also has amazing Pokemon designs like Zorua, Zoroark, Serperior, Samurott, Unfezant (Male), Zebstrika, Gigalith, Excadrill, Audino, Seismitoad, Leavanny, Scolipede, Basculin, Krookodile, Sigilyph, Cofragrigus, Carracosta, Archeops, Reuniclus, Sawsbuck, Escavalier, Joltik, Galvantula, Chandelure, Haxorus, Cubchoo, Beartic, Cryogonal, Golurk, Bisharp, Braviary, Durant, Volcarona, Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion, Kyurem, Kyurem-B, and Genesect. One silly design doesn't ruin the massive amount of cool ones.

I actually agree that gen 1 is technically the worst but nostalgia helps negate that to an extent. Also, what was with the Pokémon that had learnt 4 moves total by level 35, lame. They fixed this in later generations.

Personally, Gen 3 and 4 will always be my favorites. Gen 3 had the best art style out of any of the games (Ruby / Sapphire / Emerald), and Gen 4 introduced Darkrai which is literally my favorite Pokemon of all time, and I love shit like the Distortion World and Sinnoh is a fantastic region.

Gen 1 and 6 are my least favorites. Only reason I didn't put Gen 6 as worse than 1 is because Gen 6 introduced Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire which are absolutely amazing remakes. Pokemon Emerald is probably the best core series Pokemon game ever made though.

@Blackwater: Of Breath and Bone is my favorite album by them, I actually still fall asleep to one of the interludes off of that, that band just kicks ass in every way.

@Ovrot: Gen 2 is pretty cool, definitely a massive improvement and basically the best way to do a sequel.
