that's probably Blackmore's attempt to be on the front pages again

in all honesty, though, nobody cares for a new rainbow song or a single if it's not ONLY about the $$$

and we all know it's about the almighty $$$

I don't know if Blackmore's that fixated on money tbh. He has plenty already and the fact that he remained for years with Blackmore's Night, a band with a sound that certainly wasn't commercially appealing, despite labels wanting him to go back to rock for years

That doesn't mean that I think new Rainbow material will be of good quality, but I don't think money's necesarily behind it. Not in this case at least

i never said he's doing it solely for the money, but i don't think his intentions are exactly "pure" either...

I don't want to hear any new "Rainbow" without Dio. RIP.

"tbh the new single ain't bad. Not even close to being as generic as I thought it'd be"

idk I think it's kinda garbage, it's basically just one catchy melody repeated to oblivion while the rest of the band does absolutely nothing. It's so lazy, Blackmore doesn't even do anything in the verses. And it's not even a new song ugh

The new Rainbow song ("Waiting for a Sign") was tolerable for me but the two remakes feel like karaoke versions of the originals. That being said, I'd love to listen to a new Rainbow album.

"I'd love to listen to a new Rainbow album."

By the sound of what they have been doing, I think it would sound like a more subdued version of Stranger in Us All

Maybe, yeah. But who knows if it's something that is in Blackmore's mind and if he ever releases a new Rainbow album, chances are it will be nothing to write home about. But then again, it's Blackmore and there's no way I'm not interested in anything he does.

This band is about songs imo, they're not an album band. Every one of their albums has mediocre tracks, but the highs are incredible
