I like this review Mike, its really really good. I like the amount of detail you go into in most of your reviews. Ive been reading some of your reviews since the past few months and I must say they're awesome.
It's the rest of the band that drags the album down. The song writing is some of the band's worst.
Yes, its true..his vocals are pretty enjoyable on some songs, but its the songs that are just terrible. This Message Edited On 09.05.07

This is the only maiden album I don't have. I'm thinking i should get it even though everybody says it's a piece of sh!t, so that I can complete my collection of maiden albums. Plus, all I've heard from this one is futureal, the angel and the gambler, and the clansman. Futureal and the clansman are pretty good IMO, but I hate the angel and the gambler.

I too, am missing this album only of all of Maiden's work excluding live releases. I think I may get it for myself as a nice little Christmas present to complete my collection.

I just got it and I must say I am not disappointed for what I was expecting. Blaze isn't Bruce by any means, but he sure puts up a better performance than Bruce did in "No Prayer for the Dying."

I have always felt that this is one underrated album... Blaze IS a pretty good vocalist, and people shouldn't compare him to Bruce at all, since they're just so different... it's like comparing Corey Taylor to Rob Halford.

Plus the writing ain't very bad either if you ignore the endless repeating.

This Album deserves a 4 at least.

It's much better than X-Factor and in the same degree With The Eighties. And Dickinson Isn't God.

Blaze's Voice is cool.

Blaze's voice is cool sometimes. The other times he's either off key or mumbling. This Message Edited On 08.16.08

I like Blaze's voice. The band may have gone down a little in terms of their music, but this was not Blaze's fault.Still a nice album from the legendary Maiden.

Blaze rules, the band just became a tad uninspired here.

Blaze should sing for Dream Theater and Labrie should go away.

Blaze would suck worse than LaBrie in Dream Theater
And I like them both

I like Blaze, but the repetitive choruses kinda ruin this album.

Futureal and Clansman are acem though.

My rating based on the first four songs. I couldn't take any more after that.

Blaze, a lot of sloppy songs (don't look to the eyes of a stranger, angel annd the gambler, lightning strikes twice) and the horrible powerless sound ruin this album. Compare clansman on this one and on rock in rio, it´s the voice and the guitar sound which make the difference.
