RYM says this is Eno going funk, plunderphonics and tribal

how true is that? 'cause it sounds freaking awesome

none of those genres dominate it but they're all in the mix I guess

it's like some weird lost radio station you find in the dead of night with a bunch of overlapping religious, alien and human texts. very very odd but beautiful album

"so is Fear of Music"

This man spins falsehoods.

Don't you start now, this is supposed to be a safe place.

I've never hated an album I have 4.0'd more than I hate Fear of Music. I feel like all I ever do is talk shit about it.

Probably dropping it to a 3.5 soon, I just never have the drive to listen to it aside from Cities and Mind.

Also, made an executive decision, it's a 3.5 now.

You people are responsible for this, hope you're happy.

Can we please talk about this album, which is a lot better than the album which shall not be named?

First half of this is so great, Jezebel spirit used to be one of my favorites.

That one's really good, probably the best stuff either put out in the 2000s. Lots of good songs.

Gutsy move saying it's (almost) as good as this though.

I wish that album had a review.

well to cover myself a bit, I wouldn't say it's almost as good as this, I just like it almost as much :D

as in this obviously bolder, more influential etc. but does anything on here make me as goddamn happy as Strange Overtones? hard no chief

Holger Czukay's Movie album was an influence on this.

The true Godfather of sampling : )
