I legitimately dislike the sound of the drums on this and the way they are mixed. To be honest I would prefer a more triggered "fake" sounding snare, I feel like the natural flub they went with sounds bad for this type of music. But obviously it's gonna be compressed, I'm okay with that.
I've honestly never even really listened to this band, but I tried to give them a shot with this and didn't really enjoy it. However, I did go back and listen to an album of theirs called Portal of I, and if you compare the production between the two there is a drastic difference, and Portal of I's production sounds so much better for this type of music.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get into this band. Every time they come out with an album I'm infatuated with the album art, it usually gets a good reception here, and then I listen a few times and nothing sticks.
