ice cream for crow is one of his best agreed with fripp on this one, maybe even my 2nd fav after mask. It is uneven certainly, and I could do without the sound poetry but "Cardboard Cutout Sundown", "Skeleton Makes Good" and "Evening Bell" are heart-breaking, and the rest is also some of his best in his post-reunion post-punk-blues style.
this is good as well but dunno just seems so, i guess "bland" is the word? bland by his standards at least. the songs are also all so nice and polished, and they feel kinda manufactured rather than created. fav is "japan in a dishpan"

Bleh im probably overating it, but its the closest thing to tmr

This > TMR

hell no. This album only slightly develops the sound introduced on tmr and at times they even lazily repeat song structures from tmr.
|
| |
At least this one doesn't waste time talking about the Mascara Snake. It improves TMR and that's more than good enough.
