he went into detail recently about how he didn't see the point in continuing with the renewed Pumpkins name unless the original 4 were all together

sounds like he was just as frustrated with the results of "SP2" as most of us were on the outside
in any case, I do agree some good stuff came out of that at least
I even liked at least 2/3rds of Monuments quite a bit

I really enjoyed all the recent albums tbh, preferred them all to Machina at the least. Oceania and Monuments especially yeah

It's a nice, soft, lovely little album. Still doesn't match the heights of the Pumpkins at their best but it's miles ahead of Zeitgeist and Monuments to An Elegy.

Oceania is aging pretty well.

This sounds like something I'd love and I had an interest even prior to the relatively affirmative review.

dude said in a Howard Stern interview that this WPC business is actually really tongue in cheek and kinda a goof on the media

he actually came of as really grounded and aware of his public persona

I have no doubt that he realizes how much of a joke people think he is haha, Machina was all about that

I'm really very curious to see what comes after this in terms of his work with the Pumpkins. Will he drift further into acoustic dream-land, or turn an about face back to Siamese days?

You'll have to let me know what you think Sowing!

Billy isn't that athletic imo

He is streamlined though, practically hairless

yeah regarding the WPC business I remember a few years ago this one journalist was ragging on him for "being 40-something and still going by the name 'Billy' "

of course now when he actually counters that the dude gets shit for full-name pretension, guy can't win lol

he shelved it, said he wasn't happy with where it was going
did this instead

next Pumpkins album will pretty much be original 4 or nothing, based on his most recent comments

Also: new Jimmy Chamberlin Complex album coming out next month
I might be more excited for that than I was for this, tbh
(though I finally got around to listening the other day and yeah, definitely a pleasant surprise)
