r&r is their best maybe wtf. i would say it's the only album in their discog that is distinct and has a different style. not that their others are bad.

I put Constellations above R&R but I agree, R&R was the only album where it really sounded like they tried new things and it worked. Wish they would've taken off it with it instead of reverting back to the same old stuff again

Exactly, R&R had such a wide variety of sound on it (at least as much as it could with this band). Everybody in the band really improved drastically on that album

JESUS THIS IS RELENTLESS.

Not a bad song to be found here. Just heard this through for the first time and I'm extremely impressed.

Treatment is the best song on r&r, along with sincerity

This is definitely their best since Messengers. It also sounds a lot like Messengers. Just another reason to love anniversary tours. Helps bands reappreciate their old stuff and see what what so great about it. Same also happened with Circa Survive. The Amulet sounds way more like On Letting Go. 2007 was a great year for music.

The back half of this record is supergood, but I think the first few tracks are way too inconsistent moodwise. They go from heavy to happy with some 'cute' interludes in between. Ofcourse this is what ABR has been doing the past records, but on some songs here I think the moodchanges are just too abrupt

Didn't expect to care much for this, since I haven't really cared about ABR since Constellations but this one did some cool things. But maybe I've just given them a long enough break...
