Nah, couldn’t stand Oasis back in the day. Now I’ve mellowed a bit - I now think they were average at best.

The music was the least important thing about them, the gobby soundbites and tabloid nonsense was where they impressed. That isn’t actually a criticism, you need that sometimes, think the Sex Pistols.

"Well, if the best Oasis album is maybe a 2.5 at absolute best then obviously this only warrants a 1-1.5"

Oof, Doof.

The answer to the Gallagher question is Rory. Has been and always will be.

I prefer Yumi Zouma’s re-recording of the ‘Morning Glory’ album. Genuinely.

Actually, I could've copied the bit about not being able to stand Oasis as well.

the singles have been decent, rest of the album is sleep inducing. Hope he sticks to playing oasis tunes when he's down under.

Yeah agreed, 2.5 is way too high for ANY Oasis album.

I think it's pretty simple: If you like Liam/Oasis, you will like this. If you hate them, you will hate this.

For What It's Worth came on the radio earlier and I was genuinely embarrassed. The sound of a creatively bankrupt man trying too hard.

I admired it 4 years ago but now it's really starting to wear thin. I know he's always been mouth but at least he used to have the tunes to back it up.

What is "the fire", pray tell? Some scrappy knuckle-dragging ROCK attitude? I guess I was born after after 1990 and just don't "get it"
