Thinking about making this a 5. Seems like a watershed indie folk album, but have to give it a few more listens.

more thoughtful melodicism and much more interesting instrumentals. better lyrics

was caught off guard by the more traditional folky folk sound of Killer. her voice is different and everything

"more thoughtful melodicism"
Punisher is one of the most melodically uninteresting albums I have ever heard
It's just such bland, impassive pitchfork-bait
1000x more soul in Scott Street alone than that whole album

definitely wouldn't call it impassive. Phoebe is pretty emotive in her own sad indie chick sort of way. It's what makes her compelling as a performer and narrator despite not doing much unique vocally or instrumentally

I can’t actually remember a single song from punisher
