that is an egregiously bad take
it is a grower not a shower tho

Album Rating: 4.0
True, but its still far from their best work imo.

OLG is definitely better imo, and descensus as well depending on my mood that day. juturna's atmosphere really hits the spot though

BSN and this one are defs my top picks but honestly their entire discog is batting 100 for the most part.

"if the back half of violent waves was good they would have a near perfect catalog"
Whaaaaaat? Brother Song, Bird Sounds, and Blood From a Stone back to back is like a three punch combo of greatness.

Violent Waves is so run of the mill I regularly forget they ever put it out

Finally got around to this. It's not as boring as Violent Waves was but still a bit unremarkable, I guess is the correct way of putting it. Like and enjoy it when listening to it, especially the instrumental but forgot bout it instantly after.
BSN is still my favorite of theirs.

2nd half of Violent Waves is still great but everything up until/including Phantasmagoria was incredible.

Yeah, Phantasmagoria is great. But that's just about it though. Anyway, jam this again and I think it's finally clicking. Lustration till Tunnel Vision flows incredibly well and the title track is a perfect way to end it.

"Premonition Of The Hex" may very well be the greatest song Circa has ever written.

i'll never understand the criticism of violent waves. Hell I find this, on letting go, and descensus to be just as inconsistent at times.
first half of waves has some of their best material imo

this is their best flowing album, no question about it.

Yep, most days I profess this as their greatest achievement tbh

this is their best flowing album, no question about it. [2]
Descensus is probably the closest we can get to a mature saosin lp.
