"this really isn't bad at all and destroys the garbage that was battle born"
I mean, you don't need that much to destroy Battle Born, but yeah, those are pretty much my thoughts.

Heard it only once but from this one time listen I can say I'm disappointed. Battle Born is so much better . After 5 years this is all we get . Well

I'm actually obsessed with the real kitschy vibe of 'The Man', but maybe I'm wrong in assuming Flowers as a single drop of self-awareness left in him. Nice review, I'll give it a miss.

Listened a few times now, it's seriously not terrible and I haven't liked a Killer's record since their first one.

Jeez this seems really overcritical. Title track is absolutely fantastic, Tyson vs. Douglas nearly reaches the epic heights of their very best and most anthemic ...and The Man is one of the most fun songs I've heard on the radio all year (while being a welcome moment of self-awareness, an admission of guilt looking back on his early-career persona).
Not the tightest songwriting they've ever displayed, but certainly not bad by any means.
Also Concrete & Gold is pretty damn good too, idk what's gotten into you guys.

Agreed on all but the last point, because outside of Run C&G was boring as hell.
It does seem that in the last year or two sput has got increasingly critical of stuff that before would just recieve kind of an average to decent reception, and i'm not sure why, maybe just a changing userbase. It's pretty irritating tbh.
