I'm a little disappointed . I think this album is not good as the doubt . The weak songs are the quiet ones . They needed more songs as the opening one

This hasn't been out for long, but a couple of tracks, (Amsterdam and Im Not Made by Design) are getting some decent airplay in Triple J in Australia. I recently had my footy clubs Mad Monday, and I'm Not Made... had a singalong of at least 6 blokes. The best part was that none of us knew the others even knew about this band or this record. So that was a nice little moment and instantly made that song a banger, at least for the memory it created for us.

No way, Live Like Animals, Im not made by design, Particles are great.
If you include the bonus tracks which technically shouldnt as are not part of the official album, but if you do Reset Me and Number 13 are great too.

Heard good things, always needed a bit of an identity that band.

Exactly, faffing about being a massive bunch of arse but the new one has an edge to it and is an out and out good piece of music. It’s up there as one of the years best tbh.

Will check it soon - I think this year has been one of the best, maybe no massive world changer (as good as the new National is it isn't that) but just below that level there's been loads of classic stuff.

I’m still searching. I have to say the new National one hasn’t sunk its teeth in at all. I’ll definitely be going back to it untold times but it’s lacking something.
I’ve enjoyed the albums that have been a pleasant surprise, fleet foxes, the Horrors, portico quartet.

Seeing The National tomorrow night and that should apply that final bit of magic to the new one. Going to cry through Slow Show like a proper Sputter
