DeftoneD I always find myself agreeing with you on random threads. This Redux shit >>> over other stuff hard. Converge here sound so romantic, drunk and in love with themselves.

>always thought of WFCC as merely Slayerized hardcore
slayer already had plenty of hardcore in them

"DeftoneD I always find myself agreeing with you on random threads"
hehe many times that's wonderful, others not so much XD
What I mean is that if your faves from Converge are AtF or AWL you sure rather the Redux version over the original, or even Jane Doe...to say this gets absent of emotion, just because it has a better mix is wrong imo.

I think this record might be my favorite for Ben’s drumming. That fill in the beginning of Eagles? The outro to Drop Out? Top form.

Hmm I think AWLWLB is still numero uno but this is growing on me more and more

I will go to my grave believing AWLWLB is their best

Unless they release another masterpiece. But I have a feeling they have peaked. They'll put out more great records but not reach the heights of YFM, ATF and AWLWLB again. But I hope I'll be proved wrong.

I won't complain if they keep putting out records on the same level of quality as Dusk in Us for the next 20 years, at this point I think they've earned the right to coast on past successes. As long as they don't put out a St. Anger or a Siren Charms I'm a happy camper

they don’t have a bad album in them.
I see them going out like Dillinger, once the creative well has dried up they’ll call it quits.

Agreed, especially since all the band members have good endorsements and side hustles so no one will have to worry about not being able to pay the bills

Honestly surprised they didn't call it quits after Dusk In Us

I wonder if Kurt would start a new band if they broke up or if he would just dive head first into all of his GodCity endeavors. Probably the latter

I mean at this point he's almost better known as a producer than he is as a musician
