"I'm listening to this again for the first time in a while, and while the sequencing is kind of a mess (still not as much as I Am Easy to Find tho) and having the two weakest songs together, "Empire Line" and "Turtleneck" further drags down the momentum, but the songs themselves are most all excellent. Only Boxer, HV, and Alligator are better and that's three of the best albums by any rock bands of the past 15 years."

Just a simple typo correction - I think you meant TWFM, HV, and Alligator being their three best.

Boxer is their best, but TWFM is better than I Am Easy to Find

Dang... I think Boxer is their weakest out of the last 5 great ones. (Not counting I Am Easy to Shit On.)

3.9 is about the right score for this considering the ratings of the other national albums

I'd honestly put this on the same level as High Violet and TWFM

Maybe not quite, but pretty much there. TWFM is still my favourite of their 2010s output, but only just.

We should be taking the Kings Road, with a sword in our hands and a Boxer in our beds

Def wouldn’t take this over TWFM and it’s close between this and HV but all 3 are easy 4.5’s for me.

The opener here is underrated like crazy imo. Totally relate to it too
