Saw an interview with Nick a couple of days ago. He looks like Chris Martin now that he doesn't have the long hair & beard.

More doomy than The Plague Within and it took a few spins for me to get into. This is Excellent by all means but just a tad below The Plague Within IMO.

I'm surprised by the lackluster response so far, especially considering all the praise and accolades that Plague got. This is everything good about Plague turned all the way up to 11, and all the slower and more boring elements gutted and in it's place a raw and heavy doom sound that I haven't heard from them before.

Amazing album that needs many listens to sink in. Fearless Sky and Shrines are absolute masterpieces! m/

Man, i still havent given it enough time, but this could be my very first PLost album that im disappointed with. And i have all their albums.
Not understanding the love for it compared to the genius of earlier albums.

Clean vocals around 4 minutes into Fearless Sky sound so solemn. Terrific opener, at least top 5 PL openers for me

That "ugh" leading into the tone shift at the 6 minute mark, love it.

i kind of wish i could give it a 3.25 its half way between good and great for me.
This has left the weakest impression on me since Shades of God. Even Host, Believe in nothing etc originally excited me more, ive found this one really lacking something.
Its definitely not bad, has some real good moments, I really like No Passage for the Dead and Medusa the title track is good.
It just doesn’t have what I love about them. To explain that I suggest songs like I Remain or First Light.
They are still dark and heavy, but they have melody and hooks too. Theyre just better songs that anything on here I reckon,.
I think I prefer more clean vocals than the growling, and im not a growl hater, I love death metal, I like growling.
But I love Nick’s clean vocals and I wish for the balance to have been more clean with some growling and not vice versa, I for one really feel id like Fearless sky more if it started with clean and then went growling.
Anyway, I think theyre all pretty fine songs, but there’s nothing that great about them either
Symbolic virtue is really good as one of the bonus tracks but its most akin to those songs I mentioned above.
Id prefer the album had more along these lines than songs like Gods of Ancient.
From the gallows and Blood and Chaos are good, but theyre kind of just filler for me, they don’t reach heightts of songs like Never for the damned and all those great tunes.
Thumbs up for The Longest Winter, Medusa, No Passage for the dead, Shrines and Symbolic Virtue, nod of the head to the others, and maybe no real reaction at all for Gods of Ancient. Struggling to get into that one.
Still love this band to death though.

Shrines and Symbolic Virtue should've been on the main tracklist. They are really strong tracks, especially the former.

Yeah, i mean technically your ratings shouldnt be in consideration of shrines and symbolic virtue
if PL wanted the rating and reviews of this album to be based with those songs in mind, then they should Include them on the album!!
Annoys me.
The album officially does not have these songs.

Until the Grave is actually the closer of the album Medusa.

"Until the Grave is actually the closer of the album Medusa."
On the vinyl, yes. On the CD version, there's two extra tracks with Symbolic Virtue as the closer (and an additional one; a re-recording of the song Frozen Illusion on the Japanese CD).

good but the previous one was better

Limited editions are almost a standard feature these days, especially media books. It's not that far fetched to rate albums with those bonus tracks in mind. If you were living in Japan and your standard editions would be the special ones in Europe, you'd rate with the bonus tracks in mind.
