i just cant get past merlyns verse on that. and the pitch shifting is objectively dumb

and man the hooks on literally all of II are strong. i dont get what people here are disappointed by. theyre not the best rappers bar ameer kevin and sometimes dom (dont say matt he is occasionally witty at best) so their appeal is charisma variety honesty hooks and fucking beats. and II is just a version of I where p much all the counterpart songs are better lol.

There's no wrong opinion but if you think I is better than II you're objectively wrong

Very good review. Had to put on a few of these tracks on my commute this morning.

First impression (and I'm sure it will grow even more like Sat 1 did): really digging this a lot but my only real gripe (and it's very minor) is it lacked some of the variety of the first album. I love when Brockhampton go hard, but on here it got a little samey and one-dimensional on the first couple listens. Agreed with Row on there being a formula. But then again these songs have incredible replay value and I'm appreciating them more and more over time. Though I feel like a song like Lamb would've fit nicely in the middle of the album (maybe after Jesus) to break things up a little bit. Still kind of baffled that they would leave it off considering it's so catchy. I get they're going for the letter count thing and all but whatever. Maybe it'll be the last track on III so it will be a four letter loop into the first album? I also think it works better as the bite-sized single than the extended version. But damn overall this is seriously dope. They focused more on hip hop bangers this time around and they're all are winners. Though it's not as varied as the first it winds up being more cohesive so my tiny gripe doesn't hold as much weight when they're incorporating all these ingredients so well.

Gummy is still amazing. Queer is cool and one of their more unpredictable tracks. Swamp has some dope G-funk vibes and a great hook. Sweet has grown on me a lot. I get why people aren't crazy about the last three tracks but I really like their bright, melodic production. Bearface's voice is so good. And yeah the main appeal is the chemistry between these dudes, the hooks, and the beats. Honestly this is even better than the first album. Both are fantastic though.

"kind of disappointed honestly, they blew their load releasing the best two songs as singles, and a fair bit of this is pretty blatant formula following (Sweet just wants to be Face part two, Sunny is an attempt at doing another Milk bit without any of the quality or heart and so on)."

I think the critiques about the tracks that are similar is kind of a dumb thing to bash about this being that it is literally called Saturation 2. This is supposed to be a continuation of the first record so its supposed to sound similar... and plus there are some way different moment on here regardless of those track similarities.

junky is absolutely terrific, especially kevin and ameer's verses, but if i had one complaint it would be that merlyn doesn't really fit into the sound of the song. wish he toned it down a bit and i wish he fit in better lyrically on it

also sitting on a 5 atm cause I love this one, and didn't really feel anything was weak, and I actually felt SCENE was a nice little breakup and SCENE 2 leads into FIGHT really nicely, the instrumental behind the skits made them feel much more purposeful.

Well Junky and Gummy are good songs. The rest of this ranges from decent to downright terrible. Gamba, Summer, Jesus are just plain bad.
