Okay I’ll try again.

Overall it’s just a boring album. The energy is what gives The devil and God it’s appeal to me, while the musical textures give sci-fi it’s appeal, where this dwells in the middle of those two extremes with luke-warm energy in most of the verses and sparse instrumentation.

It’s got moments that explode out of the dreary feel out of the album which is a nice touch, but it doesn’t redeem the album for me.

Damn. Daisy May be some things, but it is anything but boring. It has plenty of energy. You can feel the frustration, anger, disillusionment etc.

But it’s all good. Different strokes man.

There’s so many boring verses on daisy though. Like the energy is exclusive to the choruses while the verses are just him mumbling for a minute while I impatiently wait for good music to return.

Oh Well

idek there’s a certain emptiness to it that I just don’t find entertaining. Like maybe it’s supposed to instill an emotion or something, but it’s not a feeling I really find myself enjoying

Are we so far out the other side that we can't admit that Jesse's weird Isaac Brock impressions on Daisy aren't at least endearingly cringy?

"and we all TURNDADYURT"

I mean it's not the weird british accent on Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot but

I mean, The Modest Mouse influence is pretty apparent with this band, but why would anyone ever complain about bands being influenced by Modest Mouse?

Yeah, it's kinda weird for me because I'm getting into this band and Modest Mouse at the same time but these guys were definitely influenced by them. "Same Logic / Teeth" especially is so MM. These guys certainly have a fairly unique touch to their songwriting though.

Brand New has been ripping off Marilyn Manson for decades. I'm glad someone had the courage to say it.

Yeah, the worst part about Daisy is clearly that it sucks.
