The vocals alone on this make it better than Virtues. Also this ends way stronger, Empty Tenement Spirit is one of the best things they've did

Also look out for these guy's other project, Sepetus. New album out June https://seputus.bandcamp.com/album/phantom-indigo

Tennessee is one of the most beautiful metal songs I've ever heard, especially when Doug's screams kick in @ 4:09

I want to say it's from Always Sunny but Frank's voice is pitched down

This is too much for sput to hande. TMOV is also the Pyrrhon album that sounds the most like Artificial Brain, so that could be a reason why

God I love the vocal interplay between Doug Moore and Erik Malavie is such an underrated aspect to this band, I love the call and response they have.

I love how much you love this band

Ive just been listening to The State of Nature the last couple of days and it's quickly becoming one of my fav Pyrrhon tracks. I find it hard to listen to whole Lps by these guys because they quickly become overwhelming so just find myself coming back and skimming them quite often

When I first listened to Abscess Time, when State of Nature hit I knew right at moment that it was gonna be my AOTY and nothing that will release will top it. This band is just an amalgamation of genres and textures I've been waiting for a progressive metal band to combine, not to mention lyrics that give the music an emotional core. I wont deny that this is a lot to take in for even at 45 min, but I love the various directions their albums take you on

The big jump between this and TMOV that I've noticed is that these guys really nailed the grind parts compared to Virtues

yeah Sleeper Agent rips, it's so weirdly funky. This band has the one best rhythm sections in metal, like almost on the level of Defeated Sanity
