You convinced me to give this yet another go and for the first time I played it on my speaker and I’m convinced that’s by far the better way to hear it than the headphones I’d used previously; that way I can play it loud without the discomfort to my ears, but also the reverberation of the various frequencies through physical space gives the music and melodies more room to breathe and also allows for a more visceral somatic experience. “Overnight” I found especially beautiful, particularly its latter half.
