Alex is much better than booka, but man these choruses just ain't it. Doesn't even come close to their older stuff. Still, probably they're best song since hollowed heart

yeah cleans don’t feel as seamless as they do on here, and the guitarwork is pretty boring outside of a couple spots. was rly hoping they’d keep pushing their sound after this album but seems like they’re just following modern mxc tropes

Said in the other thread, but will say it here too - Alex is a gigantic upgrade.

New record sounding very much like the last one. Guess we’ll never hear a record as good as this from them again.

*anywho*

First listen was very interesting. Damn Sean shines here (Dead Plains). Some tracks are yet to reveal their strenght (Fireworks) but it's loaded with riffs and emotion. The spoken words at the end of Save Yourself is a but too much but it's nicely written.

The botch reference in the beginning with the lyrics and riffs of Afghamistam is a golden nuts.
