Whyyy is there such a big disparity between critic reception and all the homies out here?? (for instance, this album has a critic average of 84 on metacritic) That's quite the spread.

Because people here like to hate on Jay, like how is his lyricism going to be brought up as a issue? His wordplay, flow, double entendres, allusions, switching between first person narratives to second person narratives, while connecting his own criticism to Kanye are all showcasing potent lyricism, yet he can't rap great currently?

Saying he can't Rap about anything else because of his wealth, what (he just gave an album on vulnerability, financial literacy, and shifting a consumer mindset to that of a producer, who builds actual wealth)? Such lines like, "bought some artwork worth 1 million / 2 years later that shit worth 2 million / few years later that shit worth 8 million........could'a bought a place in Dumbo before it was Dumbo for like 2 million / that same building today is worth 25 million"

I don't know how that's a fail at expressing values, if anything it helps to realize we all screw up financially, while not having the foresight such as Jay's case, but we can learn to make better decisions to attain success like Jay. Sputnik rating for this is just an anomaly of a excellent album, before some were laughing Pitchfork gave it a high rating, yet not a peep from the same people when almost everyone from people on the street, youtube reviewers like Theneedledrop, Spectrumpulse and various critic reviews all agree on it being great, but O, Jay must of bought those people off.

I'm a huge Hov fan but will not be listening to this until he puts his catalog back on Spotify.

he may be tackling some personal topics here, but it doesn't make the actual lyrics any smarter.. there's some idiotic shite on here..

Jay Z these days is boring at best and crap at worst, agreed with you on that, EricArcadia.
