Band opening for Mastodon brought rating down. Dude had a bit of a bad attitude and they were not that good...the drummer also ain't Koller. Still a really fun album.

When I saw them they were amazing.

Yeah, it was their last show of the Europe tour and they were clearly tired of touring with Mastodon. Kvelertak though were full of energy...its never easy to open for big bands...I give them that...just when you put those bands side to side with Mastodon...you get immediately the cleavage.

Didn't exactly worked and the fact the mood of those bands were so different from the main one, didn't helped as well.

I've always found Mastodon to be very static with their performances so they're not my favorite live. When I did see Mutoid they were the headliners so that probably did make a difference. Lots of energy and cracking odd jokes, so much fun.

I've seen Mutoid a few times live and they've never not been fucking amazing, even when the crowd was lame as hell (Looking at you, Roadburn 2018). Definitely high energy and tons of jokes and laughter between the band members.

Crowd was lame for them yeah tbf...sound was bad and I felt them tired...kvelertak heated the room and the vocalist presented a harsh bm vox crazy Axel Rose carachter, barely listenable and Mastodon were giant musicians and even greater than last year. I m attending a fair ammount of shows lately and definetely coming to realize that fest shows aren t that good and opening bands many times only serve that porpuse...and oh shit...completely missed that trap them drummer. Tks for the info. I feel stupid now.

Mastodon are TURD live in their arena rock phase. I saw them in a pub with about 80 people on the remission tour it was face melting seen them twice be super lame in the bigger areans and some of the worst live vox ive ever heard

I feel you but vox were good this time but as musicians...incredibly amazing...capilarian crest was awesome.

I saw them with Clutch and Graveyard like 4 years ago, I remember them being decent enough apart from some issues with Brann's mic. I hadn't been to too many shows at that point though, so I think I was probably less underwhelmed than I would have been.

saw mastodon on the crack the skye anniversary tour and they sounded incredible. seen them a couple times over the years and they’ve definitely gotten better

I thought Coheed sounded way better than Mastodon when I saw them.

Both times I've seen Mastodon I've liked the second band a lot more, Coheed and Gojira. I'm not even a big Coheed fan and they killed it.

The main riff of Micro Aggression sounds pretty much like a rehashed No Heroes t/t main riff, but gosh I'll be darned if that track doesn't absolutely stomp face

I love to hear Brodsky hitting that old Converge swagger again on this. Kiss of Death has that real sick riff that sounds like a sludgy WFCC homage
