I feel HB will be the one we'll see on the decade lists the most. It's the more accessible and obvious choice but the lush soundscapes and atmosphere on this are unrivalled. Every song has literally taken my breath away at some point.

I should revisit this but yeah it’s definitely great, just has some tracks that aren’t as individually memorable as I’d like them to be, some awkward moments too and “If You Need To...” is their worst song imo.

This is basically perfect aside from Keep Time, Fool's Errand, and Mearcstapa. Not even bad songs, but yea some awkwardness and blandness there.

“Mearcstapa” is like my second or third fave here tbh. “Fool’s Errand” is also weak though yeah.

I don't know, nothing comes across as awkward to me. I love all of the songs mentioned. Even if I tried to think of a moment that doesn't work for me I come up empty handed. Perhaps the end of Cassius cuts off a little weirdly but that's it.

Only thing awkward here are these comments implying this isn't good all the way through.

Cause it is.

Interesting thing is everyone saying that has a higher rating than you do

Nah. Those tracks aren't bad at all. The rest of the tracks are so so good they carry the album to the 4.5. When the 2 tracks finally hit, this will be one hell of a 5

Interesting to see people starting to finally place this above HB. Both are huge albums, but this is quite a bit more creative/experimental.

This still doesn't grab me. Like there's no denying that it's beautiful and quite interesting, but there are no moments that stand out to me. Obviously still like it given my rating, but I'm not sure it will ever actually grab me

I’m having quite some trouble getting into this. Might love it eventually, but there’s simply no way this is better than “Helplessness Blues”.

This one is quite a grower. My first listen left me underwhelmed but now I think there's nothing like it.
