3.0 doesn't really work with that pun my man. But I appreciate it anyway.

Anyone else getting those 90's sitcom theme song vibes off of I miss those days?

I will admit this sounded a bit better on my 5th run through for some reason (it's not like Bleachers albums are "growers"). I think I get reviewer's remorse, or beer goggles, for albums I rate lower. Regardless, this still pales in every way to the debut.

Immediately I did not like this album as much as Strange Desire. I've listened to it quite a bit since Friday though and it definitely has grown on me. I think you were spot on with it being a muddle of the first two options. It just took me a few spins to be ok with that.

I also question the objectivity of your rating. I remember how much you enjoyed Strange Desire; your review is what turned me on to Bleachers in the first place. I'll admit this isn't as accessible as the debut but I can't see how you would see this as below average unless you had some really heightened expectations. But maybe I'm wrong.

Nah I definitely had high expectations for this and you're not wrong about me idolizing Strange Desire. Probably not the most objective take but I think in expanding the sound a little, they lost a lot of the simple, summer jam charm that the debut possessed, which is where I feel his best sound resides.

I think that the tracks stand alone better on Strange Desire, but holistically this is better.

Listened to the singles from this and they're lol. If they're anything to go by it's def worse than Strange Desire

Second half has too many bumps for me to bump to a 4

It's growing on me for sure. Still skip Let's Get Married and the closer every time tho.
