First two songs are great. The rest is a mixed bag.

You know this album is so fucking frustrating in points, I want to love it more than I actually do but for every 3WW and Adeline you get a Pleader.

Growing on me but it's still looking like a 3.5. Just feel like this band could be so much more... or maybe the original bassist was low-key the major songwriter. I disagree with those who say this band isn't incentive or experimental. People often say this is generic indie rock - either they're exclusively listening to the dopest indie bands on the planet, or they fail to hear anything beyond the most basic elements of these songs.

Also. "Happy happy happy fun fun day day"... why

No idea why they put that in, other than that it's a pretty good cover

Yeah it's like "hey, lets add our own unique lyrics to this classic, something that can put this version up there with the best interpretations"...

*records literally the first line they can think of*

I'm working on a review of this and depending on how much progress I make it could be out by tomorrow night. That's definitely something I'll be touching on.

A few amazing tracks amongst the best of their discography and a lot of songs with infinitely less charm than alt-j is usually known for putting out

Hating this more every time I listen to it unfortunately

If alt-J doesn't come up with a decent set of songs to rival their debut on the next album I think they might be done in my eyes

Hate on this all you want, but if you don't agree that House Of The Rising Sun is incredible, I don't even want to talk to you :D

Wait what? 'The House of the Rising Sun' as incredible?

I really want to like this album, but it's basically 4 good tracks sandwiched among either filler or awfulness.
