I'm usually great at separating personality from music. I love Third Eye Blind even though I'm well aware that Stephan Jenkins is a pretty well documented asshole. The problem is that Letchford's personality and antics alienated talented musicians, leading to a negative impact on the quality of music.

For the collective, migration and V I always listened from the start I didn’t know any individual songs but I went and listened to blue sun alone and it really is awful. I actually thought it was multiple songs

V has some pretty awful transitions throughout (like in Stolas) but they actually work in songs like Oort Cloud. That song grooves.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last StS album, sadly, sucks that Letchford made such stupid decisions to hurt the legacy of the band. I'm crossing my fingers hoping it's not the last one, but if it is, I'm somewhat content, such amazing albums in the back catalogue to listen to time and time again. Yes I've even grown to like this one quite a bit.

all the good members are off doing better things anyway. Every time I see Jordan grooving with the Contortionist and Travis shredding with Entheos it makes me smile. Fuck Letchford.
