Pos on the review. It may be mostly because I agree with every word, but oh well.

Can confirm instrumental stuff is good for work/study. Also obviously Kalopsia doesn't need condolences for thinking the album is "fine" and a 2.5.

Chris Letchford being mean has nothing to do with whether the music is good or not.

Why do people take sides in band fights anyways? You have no idea what happened, and there is no un-biased opinion existing regardless. Just carry on with your life and take it with a grain of salt.

I'm more mad at Chris for changing everything about StS, from aesthetics to guitar tone/mixing/production right down to his phrasing. Dude always blew me with his phrasing, fucking almost teared up on his solo at the end of (was on acid tho) Trapped in Ice off V. Now I can't get through a song w/o cringing.

Wtf is this shit dude.

That's the thing, I wouldn't really care about the band drama if it didn't affect the album's quality, but it's as if since Chris is alone he's forgotten everything that made StS great. Downright poor tones and production, many poor riffs all over the album, completely forgettable solos, sketchy songwriting... Almost everything on Carving Desert Canyons, The Collective and The Migration was gold, and V, albeit not as solid as a whole, was still a great album with many memorable moments, just a couple duds. But in here, aside from a couple tracks and some of the guest solos, there's absolutely nothing that sticks in my mind, and indeed many cringey moments. It's the first time that sitting thru a StS album a second time has felt like a chore. Such a disappointment, really.

I haven't listened to this album yet, but I think it's funny that people--and websites like Metal Sucks--have devolved to the point of basically serving as metal's answer to TMZ.

You mean to tell me a talented musician turned out to be a massive dick that screwed his friends over? No way! This has never happened in the history of ever. Not in music, film, writing, etc.

I don't care. I'll never know these people personally. If he's not diddling kids or raping people, then I'll listen to whatever he makes as long as its good.

Either my headphones just blew out or the production is terrible on this. What's up with the constant thumping buzzing on the first track?

Chris Lechtford donated more to the trump campaign than he paid his musicians
