In comparison, I would say Embers is more pleasant while this Pendulum is more atmospheric.

I'd run with that. Embers has a really gorgeous, cavernous feeling to it whereas this one's a little more compact

The thing that I like about 'Embers' is that, the album showcases the goodness of the power trio where they bring out each instrument to the spotlight.
I don't notice too much of that in 'Pendulum'. Only harmony within the density of the sound.
