Nrap - thanks very much

Zach - I agree.. Two days of listening and these songs mean way more to me than anything off Too Bright..

And cheers, Dewinged!

Run Me Through and Wreath are fantastic. He's grown so much as a songwriter since the first album. Even though I adore his earlier stuff, everything's so much more fleshed out now.

Hippocrene, I agree.. He's yet to put out a bad album, but this is something else.. Can't listen to the choice cuts enough

Agreed with Lucid.. It's denser and more emotive than his other records, and if you listen to it in a certain mood, completely fucks you up

The first two tracks are explosive in a way that reminds me of Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.

If we're gonna be comparing the first couple tracks to other indie pop albums, I got the same feeling from the opener as I did with "In The Flowers" off MPP. Both of them have this insane explosion in volume that comes out of nowhere that caught me off guard when I first heard them.

Haven't found the time to really give this major attention, but I'm really hoping the rest of this album will blow me away the way the first couple tracks did.

This is quite good but not hitting me that hard personally, will keep jamming though and hope it grows a bit more.

I will say some tracks feel a bit underdeveloped/they end a bit too soon resulting in a moderately dulled impact. Lots of good ideas overall though and I definitely sense quite a bit of passion. And the Blake Mills production is of course great.

I kind of agree with Boney after one listen. Will abstain from rating until after my second run through, but right now this is either a 3 or a 3.5.
