Busted and Blue is one of the best & feels like it could come off of Plastic Beach. It's one of the only ones on here that feels like a complete song.

Give it a few licks and some live drums and it'd fit in on The Magic Whip

I love Gorillaz, this album just didn't sit well with me. Especially after The Fall. I hope it grows with further listens, though.

"Just going to throw 'Ghost Ship' out there as my favourite Magic Whip song. Maybe it's because I live in HK and it's the most Hong Kong-specific song on the album though"
Another great song from that album. I also like My Terracotta Heart

@gyro there wasn't really a turn around this was my first play through that I rated it a 4 on. I just shit talked some of the singles before

I think this might grow on me. There's a shitload of filler, but the ones I like I'm liking more every time I hear them

Too much hip-hop, too little trip-hop. This sounds like something I would hear blasting at a clothing store
Wish the collabs would have featured artists like Massive Attack, Moby and Aphex Twin. Def not a fan of Vince Staples

I do enjoy quite a bit of this but the whole thing feels like a "greatest hits" record of the most popular rap and R&B artists. Not enough Damon on here.

Andromeda is by far the best song here

2nd worst album of the year
Andromeda is great and so is Busted and Blue. The rest is trash.

Busted And Blue is one of the best on here yeah, which is understandable since it's the only song that doesn't have any guest artists.

It's probably because I'm not much of a hip hop fan, though I've always loved Gorillaz take on it. This album was a little too much for me. I do have to say The Apprentice is pretty good too but I think it's only on the deluxe version.

'It's one of the only ones on here that feels like a complete song.'
God, this so much. This album feels unfinished practically from top to bottom, with very few exceptions.

'Andromeda is by far the best song here'
From everything I've heard so far I agree with this.
On first listen through the lack of 2D is SERIOUSLY hurting this for me Currently at Submission.
I also don't understand people's love for Ascension, easily the worse out of the first 7 songs + singles released, and that with We Got The Power being seriously meh and incomplete, Ascension also feels incomplete.

Let Me Out has grown off of me so hard, it used to be my favorite of the songs released beforehand

does anyone else think Saturnz Barz is in an awkward spot? Like, I reckon it should've been after Busted and Blue, cause it feels like an intro song, and as Busted and Blue completely pulls the handbrakes on, it'd be more useful there
