I could justify a 2.5 but I hate this album and I'd be lying to myself if I gave it anything higher than a 1.5.

Just listened to Thrones, and definitely not for me. Atmospheric black metal is one of my favorite genres, but this is something else. Those riffs are too goofy to be taken seriously, or to even have fun with. It's just weird, but not in a good way.
