Agreed Toad, lots of subtle things going on for the listener to enjoy figuring out. Takes a lot more listens in a sense to unpick it all relative to TPAB which was a bit more immediate

first listen i gave these was on studio-quality monitors. was glorious

the sound was very immediate but the lyrics are definitely best processed over time

I didn't really like element first listen (mainly cuz of hook) but that track has grown on me a lot, looove the beat of the second verse

Second time I see an artist appearing with more than one album in the tendency ranking. The last time I checked about this phenomenon was when run the jewels released their last album.

Loyalty, Love, and God are pretty disappointing tracks for me, but the rest are great to excellent.

Love is way too much of a 2017 pop song.

The beat and vocals actually sound super generic for me. This record might be slightly too current and occasionally too radio friendly. I wish K-Dot would've stayed in his own universe instead of falling more in line with what hip hop is doing around him.

I think this whole thing ranges from 3-4.5 with the median being 4, if you dont go into this expecting tpab it's a really strong album.

I agree, of course it's strong! Still significantly better than a majority of what's coming out. It's just he set an insane bar for himself with the last 3 releases.

definitely, his past work is all better up to section 80. I honestly I bet he knew this one wouldn't get reviewed quite as well, this is an album for the general population not critics
