He was only their drummer on one album, he contributed very little to their being good and they are really totally different artists these days.

@theboneyking IDK if thats entirely true. he definitely contributed HB he's an excellent drummer and his use of percussion on that record is fairly creative for what it is, and I would say he was very important to their live set up especially vocally. edit: not that I don't think that Robin was/is what makes the band good.

I mean sure his contributions to Helplessness Blues were great but they're not what make it a great record, plus that's only one of their two currently released albums so overall his contributions to their work really aren't that significant.

this just doesn't seem necessary when there's a whole catalog of prettier, smarter, less ass-hatty smoove folk mope records out there (Lambchop)

my main gripe with this (aside from the songs being incredibly long-winded and josh being incredibly full of himself, shtick be damned) is that he's half-assing everything he says. he doesn't sound sincere or even bothers to sound like he cares.

But that's his whole sthik. It's a meta commentary on the state of modern society! Isn't FJM so witty and cool?
