>One they these guys will go full prog rock and make an album with KC structure

This sounds like the best outcome honestly. Hindsian open string notesonnotes with manic drumming that's basically just fills, sign me up

or after"

Honestly I enjoy parts of The Hunter and OMRS (have them both at 3, just barely though) and I think this was a step in the right direction but I hope working with the Tool/Rush/King Crimson/etc producer brings out their proggier nature more.

That would be fine by me as well, I would like to listen to some crazy Hinds leads again, or the crushing riffs Bill comes up with, but I've listened to both Hunter and OMRTS excessively, so I can't complain

Guess it’s in the vein of that Aqua Teen Hunger Force song they did and not really a serious effort, just a track they sorta spat out without much thought for flow or arrangement or decent production even. That’s what it sounded like to me at least.

Agreed, it's probably the outcome of a jamming session produced in a couple of days. Solos sound weird at first, but I think they're unique.

New jam “Skeleton of Splendor” debuted in the acoustic aquarium stream. Really wild to hear how much Troys vocals have improved over the years.

What's the point of becoming a cult band if every time I tried to watch a live perfomance of them they all sucked at singing (Ok maybe not Troy, I feel him for trying to hit the notes, but Brent HOLY SHIT)

Although now that I'm thinking Raine Maida was never a good live singer...but still, at least he tried his best to emulate the studio songs.

it's just Brent's nasal singing that's insufferable, tbh, and he's gotten better recently. Brann also is a beast live, his singing is pretty decent for what he's playing

Paid for the aquarium show. Probably the last true rock band. Love these guys

Brent has off days here and there, but he’s mostly spot on, like in this performance:

Outdated story. Always good for a chuckle to review the tape though.

The trippy middle part of Clandestiny is so nice.
