This whole piece is overplayed to death tbh but that doesn't make it any less amazing.

@Ocean: I have listened to quite a few, I just haven't rated them / reviewed them. I understand that the role may have been atypical, but that key change is one of the reasons why the second movement on its own and as what it was intended to be is still quite bad. I do need to listen to more Beethoven though.

I used the wrong word I guess
I just find it weird to listen to classical music in 2017
|

I just find it weird to listen to Snoop Dogg in 2017 (far past his relevancy)
|
| |
Lmao.
|
| |
my only issue with this sonata is that people think it's the epitome of his oeuvre
i would probably still 5 it if i didn't mind cluttering my 5s even more though

Shadowmire what would you consider Beethoven's best work?

No-one should find it weird to listen to any music from any time period honestly.

Snoop Dogg is kind of relevant
At least a tiny bit

Only reason Snoop Dogg is somewhat relevant now is because he posted a controversial music video recently.

I'm kind of messing with Drifter but I think his argument against classical is still dumb

"Shadowmire what would you consider Beethoven's best work?"
the fourteenth quartet or the grosse fuge (probably my pick for the greatest musical work in history; i usually listen to it as the finale of the thirteenth quartet)
for his sonatas i'm inclined to say the hammerklavier or any of the last four
|
| |
@snide
Yep...thats about it
|
| |
He's still making good music tho

I might jam Hammerklavier next as that sounds the most interesting to me, I want to listen to more of his sonatas.

not a bad call. the 23rd (appassionata) is a little more accessible and one of my favorites as well.
