new album is good. about what I expected off of the singles. it's weird and unapologetic

It's not that weird though. It feels like Danny in most ways, just diluted. I don't mind the vibe he was going for. I get it's a little more laid back this time around, but the songs range from chill to just uneventful. It's a mixed bag I guess. I definitely have some take away tracks.

yeah it's less weird than this for sure

and some of the songs kind of go nowhere I agree. I don't mind him cutting down on his squawk though, I've started to hate it lmao

this is weird for the sake of being weird at points and it gets in the way of rapping

the connection between Danny and Tip on the new album is insane, and the beats are always pretty much perfect for what Danny's doing on the bars

Definitely dont mind the new one production-wise, now if only it was instrumental then we'd be talkin'

I like it about as much as this. i dont think ive ever rated a rap album above a 3.5, so this is a high score for me.

enjoyed danny much more when his flow was insane and his beats were low key

now his beats are insane and his flow is low key

i think he's still an unbelievable artist but rowan's "weird for the sake of being weird" point sticks with me, not because i think this or the new album are less accessible than his early stuff, but i feel like nowadays he's appealing to a more 'omg danny brown quotes joy division!!' crowd who are more appreciative of the general artistry and production and perhaps less impressed by one's rapping skills?

but i digress, i'm happy to see him getting so much critical acclaim

My brother and I saw Danny in concert the night he early released this. Tonight I’m seeing JPEGMAFIA, and I can’t help but wish my brother were here with me.

I love it when I come across some awful sputcore piece of crap that gets praised, open up the discussion and see that potsy 1 or 2. that's when I know all things are still in order
