What has Kirk got to prove? Nothing, you're right, but so what, does that mean he can't put a solo or two in the songs? When I saw them live, they played Dirty Window and Frantic with a couple of solos, they sounded great

I have to admit, I thought it was a pitiful album was well. Old Metallica kicks way more ass.

I thought St. Anger was a great album. Yesh there needed to be solos but if you look past that it wasn't al that bad. As a musician I give this album a god review. It sounds from the posts that I am in good company. This album was better than everybody gave it credit for. I can't belive people are bringing them down because of St. Anger. They are an awesome band and even better live. I give it a 4/5. True it is not in the original tradition of Master of Puppets and RTL but I liked it. Good songs.
Yes, and it's a terrible album. Not to mention an over-produced one that quite obviously DOES feature guitar solos.
Agreed. What was that guy talking about?
I'm with you on this, this album is far better than Nevermind IMO

If you call playing vocal melodies on guitar solos, then yes.
I think comparing this album to Nevermind is a bit like the Special Olympics.
???
I'll take that as a compliment, assuming you were talking to me, also assuming you were calling me special.

I really think metallica sold out worse then any other band... I love their old stuff though (aka before the Black Album).

ST Anger is just... somthing for Dave Mustaine to laugh at.

I swear to good if i hear the phrase sell outs and poor voaclas anymore im gunna fuckin freak. Just cause napsters gone doesn';t make them a sell out nad just ccause you don't like their Jamses' vocals doen's mean that it sounds the his voice is going to crack. The notes that he's trying to hit aren't notes hes trying to hit. People do have limited air that they can hold on to in thier lungs. Not everyone usea pro tools to make a singer work and not every band has to repeat everyting they do to have a career. If you actually read or listen to any articles about how the songs where made youd know that the guitar solos were attempted but not used, and production. Production of what?? The songs. As in the work that BOB FUCKIN ROCK did??!!?? Or is it simply the songs. Or are all of us actually musicians. Do all of us have record contracts do all of us have 20 years experience in making music. Or is it just our inate ability to want a constant repition of a sound till our ears bleed and we go deaf. Cause if so go buy a simple plan cd, or a good charlotte cd.

I couldn't listen to a single song on this album all the way through without cringing and wanting to turn it off. Therefore, for me, it holds no redeeming value whatsoever.

It might not be the worst CD ever, but I couldn't think of any reason to actually listen to it, so it might as well get:

0/5

Worst album they've done... The Unnamed feeling is my favourite of the album probably... But I think it deserves 2/5 or so...
