This album has its hooks in me man. If you're talking worst album 'since Jade joined' I would say that's Burials, the only AFI album devoid of riffs. This one fucking pops, the riffs and solos are on point.

Blaqk Audio has released the best albums post-Sing the Sorrow. And then this is best after those. The new EP looks to rank among them as well.

Burials has its hits but this is consistently so good. And I just can't ever vibe with BA, I find electronic music very polarizing.

this is consistently pretty good but never knocks it out of the park the way burials does at its best

just lowered my rating. There is not a single song on this that I have any reason to ever come back to. I am not too fond of Burials either, but what saves it is that its high points, such as 17 Crimes are DEFINITELY worth coming back to.

this has songs i like but like no career highlights. altho the two before it aren't the most consistent, they have like 17 crimes, deep slow panic, face beneath the waves, veronica sawyer, okay i feel better now which are like easy post sts highlights. the best here pales in comparison to those (with she speaks the language being the closest, entirely thanks to it's bridge)

There's not a single song on this that doesn't bang, naming the hits from this is just redundant.

She Speaks The Language is definitely the highlight. I wish it was like a smidge longer though

On some days this is hard to go back to. As much as I love songs like Aurelia and Get Hurt the repetitive lyrics are just so disappointing.

I love those songs and the lyrics don't hurt them at all

This is clearly a devisive album lol.

But truth is, post STS albums go:

Blood > CL > Burials > DU

Haha, it took some doing for our preferences to be exactly opposite in that way.
