The Idea of You isn't actually that bad, but it does remind me of nu metal lol

It's amazing how relevant he's remained. I remember first getting into his stuff ~15 years ago.

Interesting sounds. Only complaint is that it's too short.

Only complaint is that Trent doesn't know what his own greatest strengths are, and has been focusing on the wrong shit for almost eighteen years

I disagree
I wish he'd be more conceptual stuff like Year Zero though

There's nothing wrong with nu metal at all. It's the bands who are the problem

Hesitation Marks ruled so hoping this does too.

Year Zero remains the best NIN LP, this EP is fantastic, I'm really excited to see what Trent does next, and I'm also happy to say The Fragile: Deviations 1 actually adds a lot to The Fragile, in some ways it improves upon it

Some words from Trent on the effects social media has on music. "I see a lot of people making formulaic, made to please, vegan restaurant patron-type shit" I never heard that analogy. Trent really is such a visionary

Everyone tries so hard to be unique. They become like all the others in their efforts.

I personally love that amazing riff and that wall of sound that muffles trent's terrible vocal style. He sings the chorus alright though. She's gone away comes close
