i like it fishbro but in a different way from the tapes, this is abel as a popstar releasing an actually good pop record, something hes been trying to do since he decided to go full popstar

its a step in the right direction, but i don't think he's there yet. for the most part it seems he's still trying to tap into some mixtape magic here and it just doesn't work.

Really great review man, well done!! Haven't heard this yet but it seems like this came out really quick after his last album?? Anyway, I don't think this new Abel sounds like something I need to hear any time soon.

I wont deny there are great tracks here, since this album has his best songs since the trilogy, but i also think its way too bloated and a bit too lacking. Which is a shame cuz i was really looking forward to this since the first single.

it does feel bloated yeah

feels like the direction these spotify era popstars are going is to create long albums filled with extraneous material which may have been left off of an album before

or maybe that isnt the case at all i duno

makes sense to me, no need to re-release bonus track records later down the road when you can ride the momentum of an easily accessible, instantaneous release.

that's some meta bullshit right there if that ends up being the case...

Which makes a lot of sense, really.

can someone tell me why the music vid for false alarm never lets up on the SFX and doesn't let you listen to the actual song properly

After three listens to this False Alarm is my favorite hook on the album.
