This seems remarkably consistent for such a beastly runtime. Nice. Let’s see how it marinates.

The Abattoir Blues side might be some of the strongest material he’s ever produced. Consider me impressed.

I’m still agreeing with my previous assessment, except I do believe disc one of this perhaps usurps both Let Love In and Henry’s Dream. It’s just that the second half bring it down a touch. Either way all three albums are fantastic.
The Good Son reigns supreme, still.
I need to check a couple of his others. Skeleton Tree / No More Shall We Part mostly.

Skeleton Tree is a doozy, some really good shit on there but also not everyone's cup of tea

this is considerably better than either skeleton tree or no more

Nah, No More is on par with this and Skele Tree a step ahead. Load of solid tracks here, but the consistency ain't there and the it doesn't have as many S-tier Cave hits as those other two despite behind twice as long

Skeleton Tree is alright. Ghosteen is a contender for the worst album I’ve ever heard but I don’t think it’s quite as bad as Lulu. Murder Ballads, Push the Sky Away, and Henry’s Dream are peak NC imo

yeah, I didn't dig Ghosteen back when I heard it, although I imagine it needs a revisit

After he lost his son, the energy of his music was pared back a lot. I still think his newer material is excellent but I definitely have to be in a specifically patient mood for it, vs the 80s shit, which is just bursting with life.

I just had Wild God go right into Nature Boy in the car and the transition was seamless with the sound. I can't wait for this album. I love Cave's soft delivery on the last few records as a break but it would be nice to hear him with more full arrangements. The closing section to Wild God is a highlight of his career in my opinion

Saw the trailer for Wild God yesterday (https://youtu.be/pPGdLRI95N4), it's interesting that Colin Greenwood seems to be replacing Martyn P. Casey in the studio. I knew that Colin joined Warren and Nick for their recent Carnage tour, but still strange that he seems to be around for a Bad Seeds record.
