Ok maybe I'm generalizing too much. Let's say that's the story of modern thrash and heavy metal.
|
| |
Yeah lots of retro acts. Not to mention the melodic hard rock revival, oh boooooooooooyyyy

"Spit Out the Bone is the best song here tbh'
Spit Out The Bone legit thrashes harder than any Metallica song in like almost 3 fucking decades
|

this album is a fucking abomination. yeah it's heavyER. but they sound like a couple of 50 year old anybodys who listend to metal in their teens. which is exactly what they are at this point.

The album art IS pretty fucking horrible
|

st anger at least has emotion. It's an awfully produced album, lars' drums, no solos, yadda yadda. I agree with all of those things. But I mean why do people think this album is good just because its heavier lol, it's like praising your child for going to school. They should already be making heavy music.

I don't think anyone is praising it just because it's heavier.
|

I don't think anyone is praising it just because it's heavier.
Im sure you can find a trove of "im glad theyre back to their roots" bullshit on this thread alone, let alone on the entirety of the internet.

St Anger is laugh out loud worthy bad, though. I guess they were emotional while making it but if you're not drinking, that album is almost impossible to get through imo.
This I can headbang to and the music changes up and it's not absolutely crazy fucking embarrassing in terms of literally everything that makes an album an album.
I feel strongly about this. And your stupid fucking 1.
