Although track length would still be an issue, but I'm giving it the benefit of doubt

Yeah @DePlazz I don't mind a long track if there is enough going on to keep my attention, like they had in the old days. Totally my opinion here - I think they're trying to do the same thing with cut/paste in the studio but they don't have the benefit of Cliff Burton's musical knowledge like they had then. So it just sounds like one sort of boring riff after another with slight variations.

BUT - it's more forgivable if the album length is shorter and the songs are stronger overall.

the high points on this are better than death magnetic, but the low points are mostly lower. really inconsistent album. it's like they actually tried on three songs and then came up with the others in about 5 minutes.

Yeah Spit Out the Bone is probably the best song they’ve made since Justice but I’d take Death Magnetic over this any day of the week.

One thing I have to give to this record is that the chorus of Atlas Rise never left my head even though I only listened to it when the album dropped

might be the case park, but to change it I'd actually have to listen to it and that sounds like a massive chore

Listen to one song a day

That’d still be a chore for the middle of the album tho

Moth Into Flame is good, I like the t/t, and Spit Out the Bone rips. I don’t think I’ve listened to a single song other than that in probably five years

Do I dare listen to this whole album again.
