"Spit Out The Bone", "Atlas, Rise" and "Halo On Fire" are the highlites on an otherwise very boring and forgettable album. "Moth Into Flame" and the t/t are alright too

I think they just didn't have their heart in the place to write thrash metal. They were never trying to write an epic thrasher during the Load/Reload or St Anger days. My question is; how did they not write something like this during Death Magnetic. That album actually was a conscious effort to play old school stuff but nothing there goes as hard as "Spit Out The Bone".
