if i had to guess, vinyl issues like pretty much most of everything else related to long rollouts/delays lately.

The track Micro Aggressions rules hard. First 3 songs and last 2 are great. The rest is alright.

Not as good as S/T or JOM, i was hoping they continue in the direction of the latter. Which they only do occasionally

reviving but has it already been mentioned how it's funny that it seems like All That Remains straight up ripped off this album cover's concept and name? because I still think about it from time to time.

The point: this album does not sound good. In the history of compositions this won’t even make a blip on the radar. Animals As Leaders squished them self a long time ago with their resistance to creativity, and with this album nothing changes except my anger towards them has escalated to ungodly levels. Terrible.

"Ungodly" is saying a lot, but I agree the production took a step back on this one. It feels like they switched levels on which should be more prominent; the bass or the drums. Tosin's guitars feel really washed out, until they really matter, i.e. Inner Assassins, The Brain Dance, Cognitive Contortions.

It was just a copypasta, lol

But yeah, this one is super solid. I think The Joy of Motion will remain my favorite of theirs for a long time though... just something about the way they merged the jazz, electronic, and metal elements on that one was amazing, and I see it as their most emotionally resonant record as well

yeah i think "the problem with other minds" being such a lame lead single really started people on the wrong foot with that one. still a very good album.
