Good review, you've given this band much more time than I would have done so I respect that. Pos'd.
Guilty Pleasure wasn't bad so much as it was boring as fuck. Having heard Public Apology, I doubt I'll be giving this much attention.

Obsession and King are the only tracks worth checking out, rest is either meh or really bad. I'll be sticking to Rage and Outlawed forever it seems

oh come the fuck on
how does this have almost half a point on about that life

Public Apology is one of thew worst tracks on here, but I still don't mind it. That breakdown after he says "get offended by this" brings the heavy.

any 'heavy" on this album is smothered either by the horrendous lyrics or horrendous rap/edm influence
a national tragedy is this

Pretty sure this is far from a national tragedy. Fronz's performance isn't that bad.

Idk why, but the rap vox have gotten unbearable
screams are good as usual, but lyrically this is so bad that fuckin it just drags everything else down

This is lyrically the exact same as the last two albums.

very incorrect

The lyricism for the last three albums has been about partying, not giving a fuck, drinking, sex, smoking, etc.
Not much variety in the lyrical department.

not discussing lyrical themes, no problem with that
everything on this just feels forced. yea, lyrically atl was shitty, but at very least it was the first in its line. when it was done the first time, it was accompanied with fresh ideas, and some KICKIN instrumentals reminent of outlawed. this just abandons all the ferocity, sparcity of rap vox, and half wit of about that life, and replaces it with nu metal dumb dumb bad bad. clean vox that don't belong, lack of riff city, its just dead

I feel like we listened to two different albums. Personally I feel the clean vocals fit really well here. Not only that, but this has more riffage than both Guilty Pleasure and About That Life. To top it off, songs like "Ignite" are straight up throwbacks to Outlawed.

Fronz rap parts were never good or tolerable. He was better off sticking to the highs, mids, lows, and yells that he did in Rage and Outlawed

OK cmon. all of the riffs on this combined aren't even HALF as hard as backtalk. everything on about the life ABSOLUTELY rips. doesn't help that there's not a lot of riffs on this in the first place, mostly just chugs n synth leads

I don't mind Fronz's rapping.
His screams > cleans > rap > yells imo

Album Rating: 1.5
His cleans are alright, but they don't add anything significant to the music. His yells were fucking great from Soundtrack to Outlawed, now they are pretty weak
